Grey Kitchens: A love Story

 Grey Kitchens

Hi everyone! I was thinking about something that I am very much in love with, that being grey kitchens. I have been obsessing over grey kitchens for quite some time now, as I am sure everyone around me knows, especially in my interior design class! I think I love anything grey when it comes to interior design, so a grey kitchen is perfect for me! I think I love a grey kitchen because of how calming it is; it is subdued in a good way. I especially love when people pair a grey kitchen with white marble, or even black soapstone (my two favorite counter top stones) I think it takes a very specific person to enjoy a grey kitchen, as many people are turned off from the color grey, as they think it is "boring" or "sterile". I think a grey kitchen will take your home to another level of style, not only because it is trendy at the moment, but it gives your kitchen an identity of its own. White kitchens are great, but can be too bright, so I think a grey kitchen it a perfect alternative. I hope you enjoyed this post, and I will try to do more interior design posts soon!

Possibly my favorite kitchen ever.

Holiday 2015 Gift Guide: Men's Accessories

Holiday 2015 Gift Guide: Men's Accessories

For years I experienced difficulties finding a great gift for my dad, grandpa and other male family members. While it is slightly easier for me to find a gift, it may not be so easy for you all, so I am making a list of the top 10 gifts for the men in your family. These gifts will range from very affordable, to a little more pricey. I think for the holidays, accessories are the best way to go. All the links for the items will be posted at the bottom! Here is my list of the best men's holiday gift ideas:

  1. The first item I found, was this scarf by The Rail. It is currently available at Nordstrom for $25.00. That is an insanely good price for the look and quality of this scarf. It has a Burberry look, and it could easily go with most outfits. This is a very affordable scarf for any man in your life.

      2. The next item I found was this warm hat by Canada Goose. This hat comes in at $55.00, which may seem like a lot for a winter hat, but it has that Moncler look, without the price. There are three color variations of this hat on the Neiman Marcus website; black, grey and navy. If you are buying this as a gift for someone, I would go with black, as it goes with literally everything. This is one of my favorite winter hats at the moment, and I might be picking one up eventually.

      3. The next piece on my list of items for the holidays are these leather driving gloves by John W. Nordstom. These have a very cool look to them, and add a certain flair to an outfit. The gold button on the gloves gives them an expensive feel. These gloves are priced relatively well, at $69.50. These would make a perfect gift for someone closer in your life, but not close enough to splurge all the way. These gloves also come in a burgundy color, which is also amazing, I will definitely be picking a pair of these up as winter gets closer.

4. Now lets start getting into the pricey items. Sticking with the glove trend, I found these leather Prada gloves that I am dying for. They are very classy, but also show that they are made by Prada, by having the logo on them. I think these are amazing for any man that you are close to, such as your brother, or husband, or anyone that you would feel comfortable spending this kind of money on. These gloves also come in a brown color. These gloves come in at $390.00, which is much more than previous items on this list, but sometimes we need to show those close to us how important they are.

5. This is by far one of my favorite accessories ever. The iconic Burberry check scarf. There are many places to buy these scarves, but I choose Neiman Marcus, because they always seem to be having some sort of sale on these scarves.  for this scarf, I would say stick to the classic Camel color, but if you know what color the person that you are buying this gift for likes, then take a chance and get them a different color. This scarf comes in at $475.00. Yes I know that its very expensive, but you are getting a quality scarf, and its all cashmere. I will be picking one of these up this year, but until I get it, I'll keep dreaming.
