Color Blocking for guys: 101

 Color Blocking for guys: 101

Hi everyone! I am doing another men's fashion blog today! This one is going to be about color blocking for guys. While I know that the whole color blocking trend has been big for a while, and has gone in and out of style, I am a guy that loves to color block! So let's get started!

Clothing: when it comes to color blocking for men, there are so many options! It doesn't take that much to find an amazing piece of color blocking that incorporates color blocking. Now let's be clear guys, you do not have to color block everything you own, but instead use color blocking as a way to vamp up a simple outfit, to an amazing outfit. Personally I love to pair a color blocked shirt with plain jeans, and it really does look great! It puts a cool spin on minimalism. I usually stick to dark forms of color blocking, such as blacks and greys, but I do own a blue color blocked cardigan from Jack Spade. Sometimes it can get a little hard when you start adding lots of colors, but remember, only use color blocking to enhance a simple outfit, not the other way around!

Accessories: another form of color blocking that I love for guys is the use of accessories. A good option would be a color blocked backpack. A cool backpack can make an all black outfit really pop, in a high fashion kind of way. You can find a color blocked backpack at basically every store right now. They are very in style and they give a cool spin on minimalism. I recently ordered a color block draw string backpack and I absolutley love it! It really adds a timeless piece into your collection. Other accesories that guys can color block are things like, winter accesories and perhaps even ceratin pieces of jewelry. One brand that is doing color blocking is Burberry; they currently have a color blocked classic check scarf, and also have a classic check scarf with camo print over it, which also gives it acolor block look to it. There are so many options and I will definetly try to make a post about the pieces that I own and maybe a lookbook btype of post. Let me know if you guys would be interested in something like that!

Men's Watches

Men's Watches

Hello everyone! I am back to writing blogs and i wanted to start off this return on a topic that I have been thinking about a lot lately, watches. While I only own two watches at the moment, I have always appreciated the look of a fine watch. There are so many unique watches out right now, and most of the ones that have been on my radar are quite affordable! When it comes to me buying watches, i have been attracted to leather strapped watches. In fact the only two watches that I own, both have leather straps. The first one that I own, is an amazing Michael Kors watch. I got it almost two years ago for my birthday. This was my first real watch, which is why it is so important to me. While I usually shy away from anything Michael Kors, because of the stigma that I have attached to the brand, but when I saw this one, I really fell in love. It mixes a few of my favorite colors; black and blue. In addition to the dark blue face and the shinning silver hardware, the faux-black alligator strap really brings the whole watch together. My next watch is a vintage inspired Jack Spade watch. Being my second watch, I bought it a few month back and haven't looked back since. The story behind this watch is quite interesting as I saw it at the store for a long time, and never really considered it, as I am quite decisive with the watches I buy. So after some time, I finally decided to take a closer look at it. I was in awe of how amazing this watch was! It looked super vintage which is why I was attracted to it. Once again it was a leather strap watch, but instead of the black leather strap, like the Michael Kors watch, it has a brown leather strap. It has an alligator effect, just like my first watch. Anyways, when I tried it on, it looked really cool on. The by far the best thing about this watch, was the price. It was discounted almost three hundred dollars off the original price! The Jack Spade watch is by far my favorite watch at the moment, because of the vintage look and the square face. I'm all about unique watches and vintage inspired watches. I will be posting more watch inspired posts soon, as I will be ordering a few pieces in the upcoming week.

Men's Fashion: Cardigans

Men's Fashion: Cardigans

I have loved cardigans for a long time now, and having already owned one cardigan, I was on the hunt for a simple black one. So today I went over to a local mall near me, to go to H&M and find a cardigan. I already checked the night before if they had any good ones, and they did, so I made sure to find them today. I found it right away when I walked into the store, and tried some on. I went with the black one, because I wanted a versatile color that I could wear with anything. I tried the x large, but ultimately went with the large, because the other one was super baggy and i wanted a good fitting one, to be my first black cardigan. Now having worn it all day, I definitely want another one, but maybe in like a mustard yellow or some kind of burgundy, or maybe even a navy. I already have a blue color blocked one from Jack Spade, so I would want maybe a dark grey next. One thing I can say, is that cardigans are very comfortable and you can wear them with almost anything. I'm sure I will be wearing it all season and through the winter and possibly into the spring! Make sure to comment down bellow and to check out my other blog posts for other fashion posts!

Love this color!
